PayJunction Smart Terminals require that they are connected to the network via an ethernet cable. If the router or port is is too far from the location where the smart terminal will be installed, consider the following option.
Powerline Adapter
A powerline adapter is an easy and affordable option that will enable the Smart Terminal to be plugged in to the network via the port that's made available on the adapter. The adapter expands the network through the use of the electrical powerlines that run within the building. Each adapter plugs in to an electrical wall socket. On the first adapter, the cable is connected from the router to the adapter. On the other adapter, the cable runs from the adapter to the Smart Terminal.
