PayJunction is responsible for depositing Visa, MasterCard and Discover transactions. If you accept American Express transactions, they will be received as a separate deposit directly from American Express. The information provided below details what you will see on your bank statement when a deposit is received from PayJunction or American Express.
The following information applies directly to merchants that receive their merchant services from PayJunction. However, even if you do not have your merchant account with PayJunction, the separation of American Express deposits will still apply, and the format for the credit card statement line will be similar, but not the same for Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
Visa, MasterCard and Discover
All Visa, MasterCard and Discover payments will be deposited together as one lump sum into your checking account. The line in your checking statement will be in the following format:
TSYS PYMNT PROC CCD ##YOURMERCHANTID##
For example, if your merchant ID number is 987654321, the line item will appear as follows:
TSYS PYMNT PROC CCD 987654321
American Express Settlement
American Express transactions will be deposited separately from your Visa, MasterCard, and Discover deposits and are made directly by American Express, not by your merchant bank. These line items will appear in your statement in the following format:
AMERICAN EXPRESS DES:SETTLEMENT ID:<YOUR AMEX MERCHANT ID> INDN:<YOUR BUSINESS NAME> <YOUR AMEX MERCHANT ID> CO CCD
For example, if your business name is "Widgets, Inc" and your American Express merchant ID is 987654321, the line item will appear as follows:
AMERICAN EXPRESS DES:SETTLEMENT ID:987654321 INDN:WIDGETS, INC 987654321 CO CCD
When looking at your bank deposits screen, the total for American Express transactions will be shown as a negative item in the details of the deposit. This signifies that the deposit for American Express will be made separately.
