Why does my deposits screen say AMEX NON-SETTLED?

If you accept American Express transactions, you will notice that those transactions are categorized separately from Visa/MasterCard/Discover transactions.

For instance, go to the Bank Deposits screen. (More >> Bank Deposits)

You will see American Express transactions labeled as Other. Now, click on the eyeball to the left to view the deposit details.

You will see that American Express will be listed as a negative amount and will be labeled as NON-SETTLED

Since American Express transactions are deposited separately from Visa/MasterCard/Discover, PayJunction deducts American Express transactions from the grand total for each batch.

  • PayJunction will deposit the amount labeld as Batch Header.
  • American Express transactions will deposit the amount listed as AMEX NON-SETTLE (E16).
  • American Express deposits take approximately 3 to 5 business days after that batch settles.
