The WiFi-enabled Portable Terminal can have the settings adjusted to enable keyed processing fully through the Smart Terminal.
The ZeroTouch Terminal requires the transaction to be initiated in the Virtual Terminal before keying-in the transaction on the Smart Terminal directly.
Step 1: Enable keyed transactions via Smart Terminal
- Click the More icon, on the main menu (left-side of screen).
- Select Smart Terminals.
- Find your Smart Terminal on the list.
- Hover over the eyeball, then click Edit.
- Go to the option named Enable Keyed, then toggle it ON.
- Click Save Changes.

The Portable Smart Terminal can be set up to key-in transactions entirely through the device. To do this, ensure that "Enable Keyed" and "Enable Amount Prompt" are turned on in the Smart Terminal's settings: How do I enable Amount Prompt mode on a Portable Terminal?
Step 2: Process a keyed transaction via the Smart Terminal
On the Virtual Terminal
- Click the Process icon, on the main main (left-side of the screen).
- Select the Smart Terminal tab.
- Enter the Amount, and any other required or optional data.
- Click Request Payment.
On the Smart Terminal
- Press the Yellow button on the keypad.
- Enter Card Number, Expiration Date and billing Zip Code.
- Press the Green button on the terminal, or the Process button on the terminal screen.
For the ZeroTouch Smart Terminal, the transaction needs to be initiated in the Virtual Terminal before pressing the yellow button on the keypad to key in the transaction.
