Portable Terminal - How To Process Keyed Transactions

You can key-in transactions using just the Portable Terminal, but first you will want to ensure the Enable Keyed settings are turned on properly.

Step I: Turn on the Enable Keyed Settings for Your Portable Terminal:

1. Click More.

   

2. Click Smart Terminals.

   

3. Find the Portable Terminal you want to update. Click the three-dot menu to the left of that terminal's name, and then click Edit. 

   

4. Check the box for both the Enable Keyed Entry AND the Enable Amount Prompt options.

5. 

6. Click Submit to Save. Repeat this for any additional Portable Terminals you want to enable for keyed transactions.

Step II: Complete the Transaction on the Portable Terminal

1. Press the yellow button on the Portable Terminal to start a new transaction. The yellow button is located near the bottom of the keypad.

2. Have your Customer follow the prompts to key-in their payment details.
   Full Card Number

   

   Expiration Date

   

   CVV (What Is a CVV and How Do I Change My Settings?)

   

   ZIP Code (How Do I Change My AVS Security Settings?)

   

3. Lastly, the Customer will click the PROCESS button on the Smart Terminal screen to complete the payment.
